Day 4

Lalazar

Lalazar (about an hour and a half by train from Naran) is a beautiful plateau at 3200 m. It is a habitat of pine forests and shrubs and wildflowers. Because of its beauty, it is a popular place to camp. On a clear day, you can see the summit of "Falak Sonia" associated with the famous fairy tale.

The Kunhar River

The mountain roads leading to Lalazar have the Kunhar river on one side, famous for its hydroelectric power generation. The Kunhar River flows through the center of Kaghan Valley and it is possible to drive here.

Trout fishing

The Kunhar River is famous for its brown trout and rainbow trout, though you need a fishing permit, which is acceptable at the Naran Fisheries Department.
